Image training and learning to use images is the third component that is strategically important to the deployment of the CITIA project.
The Images de collégiens workshops were created in 2003 as part of the Chemins de la culture, by the department of Haute-Savoie, and are targeted to secondary schools and their teachers.
Imagine is a new project to acquaint local kindergarten, primary and elementary school children with animated images and give them the means to make an animated film.
One of our main priorities is education and training courses in the moving image. CITIA co-organises or supports 6 superior training courses of excellence, that gather together more than 200 students.
These classes were started in 2002 from a cultural initiative by the city council focused on primary schools in the area. CITIA was entrusted with the operational set up.
CITIA and its partners provide different educational resources for teachers to help them with their courses using animated images.
As part of its mission for using images in education, CITIA has developed learning aids for school children from primary to high school, initiating them into the techniques of moving images. Find out more about these courses adapted for the different age groups: Imagine, Parcours animés and Images de collégiens.
Anima-J is part of the overall education policy developed by CITIA giving school children from the Department the opportunity to relive the highlights of the Annecy Festival, at screenings of films chosen by a panel of teachers.
