There are about 1,451 people working in full-time jobs in 391 companies in the Images and Creative Industries sector in Haute-Savoie, with 2 out of 3 businesses located in the Annecy catchment area. The estimated turnover for these firms in 2017 was 130 M€.
In 2012, the Département de la Haute-Savoie and CITIA, launched the Observatoire de la filière (Observatory for the sector).
The Observatory's mission is to:
- collect comprehensive economic data about the sector to identify and characterise the companies belonging to it
- observe its development and, in a more qualitative way, study the companies and management opinions to describe their activity
- provide analyses to help economic actors reach decisions
