A New Year for 3D Character Animators
A new class for the 3D Character Animator course at GOBELINS, l’école de l’image and CITIA, started their study year at the end of September.
Organised by GOBELINS, l’école de l’image and CITIA, with premises in Annecy, the 3D Character Animator course is even more popular this year with a class of 24 (18 last year) and a decidedly international feel with students from the USA, Tunisia, Brazil and the Lebanon.
The aim of the studies is to train students to be proficient in 3D animation, particularly focusing on character acting. The year-long programme revolves around practical exercises, presentations from industry experts and an internship in a French or international animation studio that requires a written report.
Well known names from the industry contribute to the study programme, like Michel Raimbault, Drifa Benseghir, Rémi Pricaz, Niall Laverty, Robert Bennett and Kristof Serrand, Animation Director at DreamWorks Animation.
