  50 ans d’une histoire animée

The Annecy Festival is organised by CITIA, city of moving images, and its Chairman Dominique Puthod has just published a book on the history of the event.

Dominique Puthod's book titled Le Festival international du film d'animation : 50 ans d'une histoire animée is available (in French) today at the official boutique : Boutique du Festival @ bdfugue.

The Annecy Festival's history was not smooth sailing, there were many storms and changes of course along the way: the demonstrations were interrupted following the events in France of 1968; the administration office moved from Paris to Annecy in 1982; the Film Market was created in 1985; the Festival became annual in 1997... Dominique Puthod has put 50 years of history together for you to discover.
