András Erkel dies
András Erkel, noted Hungarian animator, tragically died on 29th December 2014, at the age of 52.
The Annecy Festival is saddened to learn of the death of András Erkel, well known animator and founder of the Baestarts animation studio in Hungary.
He was one of the producers of the successful TV series Mr. Bean.
Several of his productions have been selected at Annecy, including Log Jam, Cristal for a TV production in 2009.
